The Dog Squad is a San Diego based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization run by a group of dedicated volunteers. We take dogs from overcrowded, local shelters and find them loving, permanent homes. We are one of the few local rescues that take all breeds, sizes and ages. You can find out more about The Dog Squad Rescue and our staff on the About Us page. Make a Donation with Paypal

Need help with your dog?Randy Davis is more than a trainer...Life isn't fair, especially for dogs that have been abused. Escaping the abuse rarely means a happy ending. Most often, the dogs end up in shelters where, due to the after-effects of their abuse--distrust, fearfulness or fear aggression --they're deemed unadoptable and are put to sleep. The road to recovery for an abused dog is long and hard. It requires time and more patience than the average person has. It also requires expertise. It's human nature to want to comfort a dog that's shaking in fear. It's not the best thing for the dog, however, and can make the dog worse. This is were the help of a behaviorist is invaluable. Enter Randy Davis... Randy has helped us and many other rescues with all sorts of issues and, especially, with fearful, nervous and aggressive dogs. Because of him, we've taken on dogs that we normally wouldn't feel comfortable taking into our program. Thanks to him, several dogs that escaped abuse have also escaped death and are well on their way to full recovery.
